Downloads for the Utah Valley AVS - May 14-16, 2026

We wanted to share an important update regarding this year’s show schedule and Academy program changes.

Due to the recent AHA announcement that there will be no qualification points for Regionals or Nationals this year, we have revised the class schedule. Many rated classes that had little to no participation over the past two years have been removed and replaced with more all-breed classes. These new classes will allow Purebreds (PB) and Half-Arabians (HA) to compete together in larger, more competitive groups.

Please review the updated DRAFT schedule carefully and let us know if there are any classes you would like added or adjusted.

Contact Jill as soon as possible via text, FB PM, or email with your feedback.

We will be posting the final May schedule in a week or so.

You may notice that show fees have increased this year. This change is due to rising costs at the Bastian Equestrian Center, which has implemented new pricing, including a $50 fee per stall for end-of-show cleaning.

While we have made every effort to keep fees as low as possible, it has become necessary to pass along a portion of these additional expenses.

Moving forward, we will also be exploring alternative venues for this fall and next year in an effort to reduce costs while maintaining our traditional show dates.

We have also made several updates to the Academy (ACTs) program:

  • Attire:
The previous uniform (white shirt and black jeans) is still acceptable. In addition, riders may now wear typical academy attire, including:
    • A neatly fitted shirt or top
    • Riding pants, jodhpurs, breeches, or jeans
    • Note: No chaps, show coats, or decorative “bling” allowed
    • A helmet and boots with a heel are still required.
  • Membership & Fees:
    • UAHC membership is required
    • $25 office fee per horse
    • $15 per class
  • Academy High Point Awards:
Academy High Point will now be calculated similarly to rated high point and year-end awards. Riders are no longer required to compete in specific classes (pleasure, equitation, and showmanship) to qualify. However, participating in more classes will increase total points earned.

If you have any questions, please reach out. We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to a great show season!
